Selteco releases Flash Designer v1.0

Selteco Flash Designer is a tool for creating interactive flash animations for the Web site. It lets you design simple buttons, animated banners or interactive "roll-over" menus, ready to be published on your Web site.

Each animation consists of frames, fundamental elements of the animation flow. Each frame has specified duration time in seconds. By default animation starts from first frame, and goes from frame to frame until it reaches the end of the animation. Animation can also stop in the middle, or loop to other frame specified by the user. Clicking a button can also change animation flow.

Items are basic elements of each frame. Item can be a text, shape or image. Texts and shapes must be drawn directly in the program, by using drawing tools, images can be imported or pasted using the clipboard. Most of the items are static objects, but each item can be animated independently of other item.

Buttons provide interactivity for your visitor. Each item can become a button, if you define mouse action for it. OnClick, OnOver and other actions define behavior for mouse click and mouse over events respectively. If you are familiar with javascript "onmouseover" tag you will quickly understand idea behind flash buttons. By clicking a button user can jump to other frame, browse an URL, stop or play the animation.

Selteco was the first company that has introduced "master frame" idea in GIF Animators. If you are familiar with Selteco Bannershop GIF Animator, master frames will be no problem for you. Master frame with all its items acts as the background for other frames. This provides easy way to populate repetitive graphics on other frames, what also results in lower file size on the output. For simple document single master frame is usually sufficient, for complex documents you can create multiple masters.

When you are happy with your animation, all you need is to export it to SWF file, and include it in your html page. Saving SWF file is very easy, choose "Export SWF file" and specify the file name in the dialog. Html code necessary to see the animation on your web site is pretty complex. If you don't know it, the program can export entire html page for you, with ready-to-copy html code.
